Discovering Your Management Style - for New Supervisors and Managers
Ready to dive deep into your leadership journey? Join us for a dynamic session on uncovering your unique management style!
Managing people is both a responsibility and a challenge—especially when leading individuals with diverse personalities, values, work styles, and life experiences. Whether it’s addressing performance issues, setting expectations, or navigating difficult conversations, communication is at the heart of effective leadership.
Yet, studies reveal that many managers are underprepared: 69% report feeling uncomfortable communicating with their staff, and 67% have never received training in how to give feedback.
Our interactive training equips new supervisors and managers with the essential skills to communicate clearly, confidently, and effectively with all types of employees, including employees of various generations. Participants will complete a communication/personality assessment and gain practical tools to adapt their communication style, build trust, and provide feedback that motivates and improves performance.
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify the four primary communication styles and recognize your own communication style and the styles of their employees (or others)
- Understand common management styles and when to apply each effectively
- Distinguish between coaching and managing—and know when each approach is most appropriate
- Apply best practices for communicating with employees based on their individual communication styles to build trust, address performance, and improve engagement
